💡 General Tipping Etiquette

Tipping in the United Arab Emirates is common and appreciated. In fancy places, probably a bit more tip is appreciated.

🍽️ Restaurants

Even though taxes and service charge are often included, it’s still common to tip the service staff between 10% and 15%, dependent on the quality of service. Often rounding up to the nearest figure in your bill could suffice.

Round up the fare to the nearest AED 5-10.

🏨 Hotels

AED 5 per transfer (a bit more if you have a lot of bags) for bellhops and same per night for cleaning staff.
