💡 General Tipping Etiquette

Tipping is being expected in Tunisia, even for the smallest and unwanted services (which you should definitely refuse to pay!). But salaries are very low, so every tip is appreciated.

🍽️ Restaurants

10 %, rather in upscale restaurants, but you can also round up the fare in snack places.

🚕 Taxis

10 %, make sure to fix the prices beforehand for longer rides

🏨 Hotels

1-3 dinar per transfer for bellhops and for cleaning staff per night, often in tipping jars at the end of the stay
