💡 General Tipping Etiquette
The tipping policy in Mauritius is pretty simple. You tip those employees such as the bellmen, bartenders, servers, drivers, tour guides, or any other personnels who have been very attentive and helpful towards you.
🍽️ Restaurants
Usually included, if you are particularly satisfied you can leave some change. For good service tip between 10% and 15% – this is usually standard for top end restaurants.
🚕 Taxis
Prices are normally negotiated, if service was good you can add 100-200 MUR
🏨 Hotels
50-100 MUR per transfer for bellhops, same for cleaning staff per night
