💡 General Tipping Etiquette
Tipping in Iran is very much appreciated.
🍽️ Restaurants
Tipping waiters is not really customary in Iran, especially in mid-range or lower cafés or restaurants. Some restaurants have tipping boxes, you can leave 10 % or round up the bill.
🚕 Taxis
Generally not necessary. If you have the taxi for a longer ride or the whole day, you can add 15-20 %.
🏨 Hotels
1 $ per transfer for bellhops and 1-2 $ per night for cleaning staff
👨🌾Tour guides
Depends on the length and price of the tour. But 10-20 $ per day is appreciated for a whole day provate tour. For a group tour 2-5 $ per person depending on length.
